Mariyana Yaneva is a senior energy executive with more than 15 years of international experience in renewable energy, energy storage, business intelligence, and smart grid technologies. Her expertise spans strategic business development, investment and market analysis, operational leadership, and regulatory advocacy, with a strong track record in the development and deployment of wind, solar, and utility-scale battery energy storage projects.
She currently serves as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of IPS, where she leads the company’s strategic business development, market expansion, and international partnerships. Mariyana plays a key role in the development and commercialization of EXERON X-BESS, Europe’s first strategic battery energy storage manufacturing project recognized under the European Union’s Net-Zero Industry Act (NZIA). Through this initiative, IPS is advancing Europe’s energy resilience, industrial competitiveness, and energy transition objectives by establishing a new generation of utility-scale energy storage solutions made in Europe.
In addition to her executive responsibilities, Mariyana serves as Vice Chair and Board Member of the Association for Production, Storage and Trading of Electricity (APSTE), where she actively contributes to shaping regulatory frameworks and market conditions that support renewable energy integration, energy system flexibility, security of supply, and the accelerated deployment of advanced energy storage technologies.
