Ivaylo Stanchev

Ivaylo Stanchev is Editor-in-Chief of Capital, Bulgaria’s leading business publication, and an energy journalist with more than 20 years of experience. Since joining Capital in 2017, he has led the publication’s coverage and research on electricity and gas markets, renewable energy and battery storage.

He led the research for Capital’s 2026 Business Intelligence report on Bulgaria’s battery storage and renewable energy market, which combines a project-level database with electricity-system data. He is also closely involved in the development of the annual Sofia Energy Summit.
