Pietro is Executive Vice President continental Europe (also named Western and Central Europe) at Nord Pool , which is part of the Euronext group, and, acting as General Man-ager for this region, he is responsible for expanding Nord Pool’s presence across Europe and creating greater value for its customers and stakeholders.
He has a professional background in international business, and the public and academic sectors, particularly relevant to the energy and power sector and to his role at Nord Pool.
Pietro is a Harvard University graduate in the USA where is pursued postgraduate busi-ness and government studies at the Harvard Business and Kennedy Schools where he was a Giorgio Ruffolo / Empedocle Maffia fellow funded by the Italian government, after engineering studies at Politecnico di Milano and Alta Scuola Politecnica in Italy and at Ecole Polytechnique in France and economics at Milan University in Italy.
Born into an Italian-Greek family and grown up in Italy close to Austria and Slovenia, Pietro has lived in 10 countries so far. He speaks fluently 5 languages (Italian, Greek, English, German, French) and 3 at intermediate level.
Pietro has been at Nord Pool since 2016.
