Teodor Saru is CEO of Electrogrup, part of E-INFRA Group, and has more than 20 years of experience in the energy and oil & gas industries, spanning complex project delivery, operational management and international business development.
Before joining Electrogrup, he held senior roles at Rompetrol, Siemens and Christof Industries, working across Central and Eastern European markets.
Teodor joined Electrogrup as Chief Operations Officer in 2023 and became CEO in 2025. Under his leadership, the company has strengthened its position as a leading EPC contractor for energy infrastructure and battery energy storage projects in Romania.
Electrogrup has delivered several BESS projects with a combined capacity exceeding 1 GWh, becoming the first Romanian company to reach this milestone for multiple investors. The company is currently scaling its storage portfolio, targeting 4 GWh of cumulative BESS capacity within the next 24 months.
Teodor’s current focus is on scaling Electrogrup’s energy infrastructure capabilities, accelerating BESS deployment and expanding the company’s footprint across Central and Eastern Europe.
