Vladimír Kubeček is an energy economist and statistician with over 25 years of experience spanning international organisations, academia, banking, and the energy industry. He currently leads Energy and Economic Analysis Department at ČEPS, the Czech transmission system operator, having previously served as Head of Strategy Management and Head of the Competence Centre. Before joining ČEPS, he spent nearly six years at the International Energy Agency in Paris heading the Coal, Electricity and Renewables statistics section. He has also worked as a researcher at Charles University’s Environmental Centre and the University of Economics and Business in Prague and lead the Energy Competence Centre at Česká spořitelna (ERSTE Bank). Vladimír holds an MSc in Econometrics and Operational Research from the University of Economics and Business in Prague.
